About this event

Everyday Worship.

What you & I do Monday to Saturday really does matter to God!

Our gathered times of worship are special. This is where we give God glory, seek his presence and expect the things of God’s Kingdom to be seen among us. But our “worship” does not stop when we stop singing. God then sends us out to live and work, continuing to give him glory, continuing to seek his presence and still expecting his Kingdom to be seen. Just imagine this happening as you spend time with your team at work, or with your friends as you’re meeting for coffee, as you walk along the beach or as you push the trolley round Aldi?! As we leave our church building we enter a place of worship: whole life worship. What difference would this perspective make to our everyday lives?

I am so pleased that we will be exploring this in greater depth at our Church Weekend and I am delighted that we have some excellent people coming to teach and lead us!

Sam & Sara Hargreaves will be joining us for the Saturday of our Church Weekend. Sam & Sara lead “Engage Worship” a music and worship foundation committed to resourcing local churches in worship. Sam & Sara both trained at London School of Theology, and Sam was on the faculty in the Worship Department at LST for five years. Both Sara and Sam have Masters degrees from King’s College London and in 2017 the Royal School of Church Music gave them the Associate award for services to worship in the UK. Together with Neil Hudson, they are the coauthors of “Whole Life Worship”.

We are also blessed to welcome back Steve Rouse. Many of us at The Free will know Steve well as he was part of our church for much of his life. Today, he’s not only the much-loved Director of the LICC Church Team, he’s also part of the pastoral team at Balham Baptist Church in south ondon. Steve speaks, consults and writes on behalf of LICC, and oversees strategic projects with church networks. His areas of expertise include changing church culture and growing whole-life disciples of Jesus Christ.
